Melville, NY – Kenyatta Lyons, Good Shepherd Hospice Home Health Aid Coordinator, and Maria Paiva, Home Health Aid, were recently presented with the Catholic Health Services (CHS) Living the Mission Award for exemplifying the CHS mission values of respect, justice, integrity and excellence. Ms. Lyons, am Amityville resident, and Ms. Paiva, a resident of Brentwood, were nominated by their colleagues for their outstanding qualities and were chosen from among many nominees.

All of us at GSH understand the home health aid need,” said a colleague. “Kenyais professional, compassionate and willing to go over and beyond, especially during this challenging time by all, dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.”
Ms. Paiva’s co-workers said they nominated her “because she’s a very humble and honest worker and friend. She’s a very good caregiver and very passionate person with what she does.”
Ms. Lyons has been with Good Shepherd Hospice for more than 10 years and Ms. Paiva joined the team in 1994, making her career with Good Shepherd just shy of 20 years.
