Sayville, NY 11782 – Anthony Alduino, a resident at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Sayville, celebrated his 100th birthday on March 18, 2013. Anthony was born in Oakfield, New York to parents Joseph and Mary Alduino and was the oldest of seven children. Anthony and his wife Thelma (Mona) moved to Babylon where they resided for over 50 years. They were married over sixty years until Mona passed away in 2002. Anthony worked as a licensed barber and for the Brooklyn Navy Yard prior to his retirement. Anthony always believed in keeping active and was very involved in the Long Island Mummers and Long Island Banjo Society. Anthony has been a resident at Good Samaritan Nursing Home since August 2012 where he enjoys watching sports and visits from his family and friends. A party was held at Good Samaritan Nursing Home with Anthony’s family, friends and staff to celebrate this special occasion.
