Good Samaritan Hospital Lindenhurst/North Babylon Guild’s members Ruth Johnson and Claire Runyon have collectively reached an amazing milestone, having contributed 18,000 and 32,755 hours respectively in volunteer work (standing L-R). Lindenhurst/North Babylon Guild’s member Rosella Brink and Great South Bay’s Guild member Ingeburg Luttmann (sitting L-R) having contributed 30,077 and 33,842 hours respectively in volunteer work. The Guilds are groups of individuals who work diligently for the benefit of the medical center. These volunteers organize community activities, staff the hospital gift shop, hold annual fund- raising events and operate an offsite thrift shop to support Good Samaritan. In 2012, the Guilds raised more than $268,000, with more than 40,000 hours of service donated as well.
