West Islip, NY - Joseph Loiacono has been promoted to senior vice president of administration at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center. He joined Good Samaritan as vice president of administration in 2009 bringing nearly 30 years of experience in the health care industry. In his new role, he assumes additional administrative responsibilities including oversight of clinical departments such as physical medicine and rehabilitation and the Center for Pediatric Specialty Care in Babylon as well as responsibility for the Mid-Level Practitioners and all ambulatory services, excluding Cancer Care services.
Prior to Good Samaritan he was vice president of program development for Catholic Health Services (CHS) where he is credited with the integration of South Bay Cardiology Associates into CHS. Before joining CHS, he held various administrative leadership positions over a span of 24 years with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Loiacono holds a bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy from Long Island University and a master’s in business administration from Pace University. He resides in Huntington.
