Friends of Karen is pleased to welcome three new members to its Long Island Advisory Board.
David Feldman is President of Imperial Commercial Cleaning, Inc., a West Babylon based commercial cleaning company he started almost 20 years ago. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the State University of New York at Buffalo. An avid sportsman, he became involved with Friends of Karen in 2007 and has inspired his employees, friends and family members to become involved in participating and fundraising in the annual Walk/Run for Friends of Karen, held as part of the Long Island Marathon every Spring. He has also been instrumental in coordinating corporate retail efforts to assist the families of Friends of Karen. He and his college sweetheart wife live in Melville with their two children.
John Levitt graduated from Cornell University where he won the award for Outstanding Senior of 1980 and went on to earn his law degree from Cornell Law School. A member of the New York and Florida bars, he practiced in both those states before joining AXA Advisors, LLC in 2001 where he provides asset management strategies for high net worth individuals, along with retirement funding and investment advisory services for businesses. A member of various professional Boards, a published author of Living Trusts and Probate and a frequent lecturer for the National Business Institute, John lives in Syosset with his wife and two children.
Karen Scutellaro has an extensive career in the Long Island banking industry. For more than 17 years, she held various comprehensive positions in commercial ending, operations, customer service and credit analysis before joining Citibank in 2004. Today, she serves as Business and Professional Relationship Manager, Business Banking/Senior Vice President where she successfully manages a portfolio of 150 commercial clients with annual sales between $2 million and $20 million. Her commercial client accounts have been developed through her drive at business development and community of interest networking in both the Long Island and New York City marketplace. She and her three children live in Holbrook, NY.
Friends of Karen services families with a child diagnosed with cancer or another life-threatening illness. With offices in Port Jefferson, Manhattan and Westchester, New York, Friends of Karen provides emotional, financial and advocacy support in order to keep the family stable, functioning and able to cope. In 2011 alone, the organization assisted 1,308 children.
