Fastest Growing List of Companies Includes 33 LI Businesses

The Long Island business community has been defined by many of the great companies that they have within their ranks. Among these are 33 companies that have been listed as among the fastest growing businesses as listed with “Inc. 5000” which is the list of the 5,000 fastest growing companies in the United States as determined by the magazine Inc.

The list that is compiled by the business magazine is determined based on the percent of revenue growth that each company has shown in the last three years. The list included such top producers as Bedgear in Farmingdale, Driven Local in Melville and BabyGanics in Hicksville.

Each of these companies has been able to see unprecedented growth in their company by having a unique brand and a good handle on the market they are selling to. Even with being top producers in the area, they only ranked in the top 600-300 of the list. This is a testament to how many other businesses are continuing to grow in Long Island as well as elsewhere in the nation.

The list does not have any companies that were established later than March 2008. They also must have exceeded $2 million dollars in 2011. All of the companies listed with Inc. had to nominate themselves in order to be ranked on the list, so it is possible there are others in Long Island just as deserving of the honor.
