St. Patrick's Day is a great time of not only celebrating the Irish Heritage, but enjoying some fantastic food as well! That does not mean that you have to wait until St. Patty's Day. You can get the party started as soon as today or wait until the weekend of St. Patrick's Day. There are many options for all Long Islanders.
The entire month of March is dedicated to celebrating Irish-American heritage for many people. During this time they will set off to Ireland themselves, or enjoy it with some traditional foods. Traditional Irish foods are corned beef and cabbage, Irish Soda Bread, potatoes, Shepherds pie and Irish Coffee. Definitely can not forget about the irish Coffee! Even if you’re not Irish, you can’t help but feel lucky, when you see these delicious ways to observe St. Patrick’s Day all month long.
The Nutty Irishman
The Nutty Irishman is a great bar/lounge in Farmingdale and Bay Shore where you can get a great meal and even better drink! Celebrating the night away with a loved one is perfect with the sights and sounds of Ireland within this homey place.
Maxwell's
Located in Islip, Maxwell's is another great place to get a drink and a late evening meal. With a casual atmosphere and a mostly American menu, they mix it up with Irish fare during March.
Monaghan's
If you are celebrating with your entire family, then Monaghan's in Rockville Centre is the place for you. A family atmosphere is welcoming with plenty of food for anyone. It is traditionally Irish in its decor and cuisine as well as its fully stocked, ready to serve bar. With 18 cold, draft beers there is plenty of reason to stay for dessert.
