Eastern Long Island Hospital will host its annual fall blood drive on Thursday, November 8th from 8 am to 5:15 pm. A blood donor is a special kind of volunteer. One donation of blood can help save up to five patients’ lives. Blood donation is important to the health of your community. Hospitals need to maintain an adequate blood supply for everyday emergencies, for patients undergoing surgery and patients with cancer.
Long Island requires nearly 800 volunteer donations a day to serve patients in 50 local hospitals. Be a lifesaver …. Call, 477-5100, today to schedule your blood donation appointment. All donors will receive a gift certificate to the Greenhouse Grill or Corner Gift Shop courtesy of the Medical Staff. If you have questions about your medical eligibility, call the New York Blood Center at 1-800-688-0900. Walk-in donors are always welcome.
