Eastern Long Island Hospital is pleased to recognize all of the dedicated men and women who volunteer for their community hospital on Health Care Auxilian Day, May 8, 2013. This day is devoted to the dedicated auxiliary members who collectively provide over 23,000 hours of service to ELIH annually.
During the past year, the Eastern Long Island Hospital Auxiliary raised and donated over $350,000 for patient services. This donation is a result of the hard work of the three Branches, East End/ Shelter Island, Southold West, and TWIGS.
ELIH has close to 300 auxiliary members who initiate, fund, and volunteer for a variety of patient care services from outpatient to intensive care. Not only do the Auxilians sponsor events for the hospital, but most importantly they organize and support programs that reach out to the local community.
