EEA Hosts Holiday/Hurricane Relief Food Drive

(RIVERHEAD, NY, November 28, 2012) –– East End Arts is pleased to announce a Holiday/Hurricane Relief Food Drive during their Annual Holiday Marketplace this December. The organization is collecting nonperishable foods, personal care items and household cleaning items during open hours from November 30 through December 21, to be donated to Long Island Cares Food Bank. Much needed items defined by Long Island Cares include: cereal; juice (plastic bottles, non-refrigerated); peanut butter; jelly; rice; pre-made canned meals; canned fish, meat, vegetables, fruits and soups; cookies and crackers; granola, granola bars and nuts; personal care items: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, tooth brushes, toothpaste; baby items: formula, baby food, diapers, baby wipes. Food Drive donors will be entered into a free raffle drawing for a Free Individual Membership to East End Arts.

The Opening Reception for East End Arts’ Annual Holiday Marketplace will take place on Friday, November 30, from 5PM to 8PM in the East End Arts Gallery, located at 133 East Main Street in Riverhead, NY. This free event is open to the public; refreshments will be served. Gorgeous handmade ornaments, one-of-a-kind jewelry and wearables, and unique ceramics and crafts will fill East End Arts’ three galleries from top to bottom as visitors from all over Long Island come to the Gallery to buy exclusive and artful gifts, perfect for gift-giving during the holiday season, at a wide variety of price points. All items in the Holiday Marketplace come from near and far, and are unique creations by East End Arts member-artists. The Holiday Marketplace will open on Friday, November 30 and will run through Friday, December 21. The hours of the Holiday Marketplace will be Tuesdays through Fridays 10AM to 6PM; Saturdays 10AM to 4PM; and Sundays 12PM to 4PM.
