Brooklyn, NY January 04, 2013
Brooklyn-based startup, EatDrinkJobs, has successfully paired employers with employees in the restaurant and hospitality industry for one full year. The start-up is celebrating its milestone by teaming up with Brooklyn bakers, and owners of Baked franchise Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito, for a book-signing of their new, nationally acclaimed book, “Baked Elements.”
EatDrinkJobs is a hospitality-industry job website which streamlines the hiring process by requiring all applicants to have an online recommendation, creating a vetted applicant pool for restaurant employers to choose from when filling a position. EatDrinkJobs saw exponential growth from their February 2012 launch throughout the year with over 5,000 job applicants and 400 restaurants in the greater New York area.
“We’ve had an action-packed year,” said CEO Julie Lerner. “This Baked event is our way of sharing appreciation with our users. We are excited for year number two and expansion into other cities.”
The celebration will take place on Tuesday, January 15 at Broadway Panhandler. Attendees, once confirmed, are invited to come, meet the authors and receive a free copy of Baked Elements. Assorted Baked desserts will be served.
About EatDrinkJobs: EatDrinkJobs.com was founded in 2012 with the intention of offering a platform to set job seekers apart from the rest of the crowded bar and restaurant space. The website creates a clean, user-friendly space to find bar and restaurant candidates without sifting through excess, superfluous information. It also develops a superior experience for job seekers through connecting them to quality jobs, and for employers by allowing them to target for premium applicants.
