Dunkin’ Donuts has just announced they will be launching a new line of t-shirts designed to benefit charity in the continuing efforts to rebuild Long Island after Hurricane Sandy. Autumn and winter are coming up around the corner yet again, but a lot of damage still remains from last year’s destructive gale. The shirts will feature a map of Long Island with the words REBUILDD Long Island. The donut chain will donate a portion of all the profits from the shirt sales to Long Island Cares, one of the oldest and most active charities on Long Island.
Speaking about the new campaign with Dunkin’ Donuts, Paule Pachter, Executive Director of Long Island Cares, says, “Dunkin’ Donuts and many of their Long Island stoers were there to assist communities impacted by Sandy during the early days of the storm, and now they continue to be there to offer ongoing support throughout the recovery process.”
Shoppers interested in purchasing the REBUILDD shirts will be able to buy them from Dunkin’ Donut stores throughout Long Island. They can also be purchased directly from Long Island Cares. Each shirt will sell for $11.99, and a number of different colors and sizes will be available. Shirt sales will directly benefit the Emergency Response and Recovery Services program offered by Long Island Cares.
