Fear of being the “best dressed bag lady in Manhattan” is the number one financial concern for many women going through divorce. Be it a wealthy and powerful career woman or stay-at-home mother, divorce has the potential to throw years of building financial stability into jeopardy.
But according to Lance Drucker, President, Drucker Wealth Management, a major life change does not mean all is lost. In his upcoming seminar dedicated to divorced or currently divorcing women, “An Evening That Will Change Women’s Lives", Drucker will show women how to protect their financial futures and focus on what’s important: moving on and moving up, writing the next chapter of their lives.
“Typically, we are talking about smart and very capable women. However that doesn’t mean that they understand all the options when it comes to their financial lives. Financial planning for women is different than for men. Women typically live longer and therefore need to create a longevity plan, making sure their money doesn’t expire before they do,” says Drucker. “It’s time for women to take control and take charge of their own finances. Our role is to bring to them insights, expertise, know-how and perspectives to help them to make smart financial decisions.”
In the workshop, women will learn how to grow their portfolios in a conservative, safe way that allows them to live off the returns while continuing to reinvest a portion of their portfolios so that they grow at a rate that outpaces inflation.
Drucker's presentation will reveal how women can:
“Women’s fears during divorce are not unfounded. Divorce is a difficult enough process; if you combine it with a massive reversal of fortune, it can create a terrible situation, says Drucker. “But a relationship that is now a thing of the past, can serve as the catalyst for a wonderful future—one of empowerment, independence, freedom and fulfillment.”
Drucker Wealth Management’s seminar for women will be held October 30, 5:30 p.m. at The New York Public Library, 188 Madison Avenue - between 34th & 35th street, room 015 on the ground floor, New York, NY 10016. Cost is free, but seating is limited. Visit www.HerPortfolio.com to register.
