The Heckscher Museum of Art Presents Draw Out! a Free Community Event on Sunday, September 23,2012
Huntington, NY – The Heckscher Museum of Art is pleased to present Draw Out! on Sunday, September 23 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This annual free community event for artists of all ages and abilities is held in the Museum, on the Museum terrace, and throughout Heckscher Park, and features an array of art activities and live music.
Inspired by the Museum's Absorbed by Color: Art in the 20th Century exhibition, a variety of drawing materials will be on hand or bring your own to capture the excitement of the day! Construct a giant color wheel collage, build a colossal color tower, or try your hand at figure drawing from live models. Create a watercolor, charcoal, or pastel drawing in beautiful Heckscher Park.
Experience Live Art Fusion, which joins music and art for an extraordinary performance. Artists will be speed painting while listening to live bands. All in attendance are invited to watch the artwork unfold or create their own art in this fun, dynamic "fusion" of art and music.
Free Museum Admission. Rain Date: Sunday, September 30, 2012
