Chilling Memoir is About Life in the Shadow of a Serial Killer

In the interests of justice for the murdered victims, the crime wave that still shocks America is given a new perspective from the standpoint of someone falsely seen as a suspect to the crimes

LAKELAND, FL. – (10/11/12) – On the razor’s edge of injustice, the author with the nom-de-guerre W recalls his life – from childhood, through his continuing struggle living in the shadow of a yet unknown serial killer who still roams free. The author seeks exoneration while he reveals the stinging truth, with blatant honesty and shocking realism in Confessions of the Oak Beach Drifter

The book tells the story of the author’s growing up in tough neighborhoods under the specter of racial tension, life within a dysfunctional family, and of the fascinating anecdotes which may have led the authorities and others to wrongly suspect him of being The Long Island Serial Killer.”  In connection to this case, the media wrongfully labeled him “The Drifter” and cast him maliciously into the spotlight as a suspicious persona who has been seen traveling from place to place over a period of years.

W has lived in and moved throughout a shadow world of small time hoods and outlaws. Yet W’s life, if not for his being connected to the case of the Long Island killer, is that of a “seemingly ordinary” American. W conducts his business brandishing a “Tough Guy image” that is prominent in today’s American youth.

The Confessions of the Oak Beach Drifter is about crime, murder and the chilling events in W’s life.  In it, he attempts to find a balance for himself, and explains how his life has been colored by another’s life that parallels his own, in searing truth and cold hard facts.

About the Author

From growing up on the tough streets of Queens, New York as a child, to struggling with the realities of growing into an adult on Long Island, this story is about the trials and tribulations of a young man (the author with the nom-de-guerre W) who tried to do the right thing in life but due to unlucky circumstances, chose a life of crime, drugs and violence.  This story chronicles the life of a man who lived in the fast lane for over twenty years and would eventually  be led unwittingly into one of the biggest unsolved multiple murder controversies that this country has ever endured.  This is a fast-paced, gripping story that will not only have readers turning pages, but will have them thinking about these events, long after they finish the book.
