There is definitely something wrong with the universe when a cheeseburger joint closes. One of the most important innovations in food, the cheeseburger, has made a lot of people very happy over the years. I would reference Wimpy from Popeye, but that would be too much. Regardless of man's love for the cheeseburger, a burger joint in Plainview has closed up its doors for the last time.
The Cheeburger Cheeburger in Plainview has closed. It was the first branch of the 50s-themed franchise to open on Long Island and was located in the same strip mall as Fairway Market. One of the hallmarks of this great burger place was the amazingly delicious, and juicy, burgers and tasty onion rings. Of course, the huge array of milkshake flavors was a bonus too.
The good news is that the franchise is still around. If you are hungering for an imaginatively topped burger, golden fries you can still get your fix in Great Neck and Farmingdale.
Yes, it is an end of an are in Plainview, but there are plenty of other Long Island restaurants to choose from in order to get a great burger in that area. But, a burger is a very personal thing. So, you will have to spend some time testing out each place to find that one cheeseburger that is exactly how you like it. I can't think of a better way to spend a weekend!
