Charity Event for those affected by Hurricane Sandy

The West Babylon Lions Club will have a tent set up at Harding Avenue Elementary School in Lindenhurst off of Grenada Parkway. We will be supplying water, cleaning supplies and hope to have food available. Right now hours are 11 AM to 3 PM.
Please get the word out for those in need. We will be accepting donations of any type of cleaning supplies, brooms, bags, gloves, etc. Cash for gift cards are also welcome. This is what we have been told is needed."
Date is tomorrow, Saturday November 10th.
The West Babylon Lions Club has been a presence in the community for over 60 years; Our motto is “We Serve”. Over the past 15 years the club has given out almost $250,000 to those in need. Some of our major projects are: Fight for Sight Campaign II, Food Baskets for Thanksgiving & Christmas, eye glasses to needy students, scholarships to our High School Seniors, and a Tree Lighting ceremony for the community with Santa Clause.
