Chamber Hosts May Luncheon
May 10, 2012 12:00-2:00pm at Martha Clara Vineyard, 6025 Sound Avenue, Riverhead.
The next Riverhead Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon will take place on Thursday, May 10th at Martha Clara Vineyard and will play host to Randy Altschuler, who is running for Congress in the 1st Congressional district of New York.
Altschuler was the Republican Party candidate for Congress in New York’s 1st Congressional District in 2010 and lost the election to Tim Bishop by 593 votes. He announced in May 2011 that he would run for the 1st Congressional seat a second time, ending speculation that he would run for the Suffolk County Executive position to succeed Steve Levy. He will face George Demos in the primary.
The National Republican Congressional Committee has named Altschuler to their “Young Guns” list of the top Republican candidates in the country. Most recently, he has secured the nomination of the Independence Party which in 2010 garnered 7,370 votes for Bishop.
Randy is the Executive Chairman of CloudBlue, a company he co-founded, that now has sixteen facilities across the country and has created over 300 American jobs. CloudBlue is a leading provider of recycling services for electronic equipment, including computers, servers, printers and smart phones.
Lunch and the opportunity to network is $25 for Chamber members; $30 for non-members; $35 at the door. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Chamber of Commerce Office at 631-727-7600 or through the Chamber’s website at www.riverheadchamber.com
