Associate Professor of Surgery (Plastic Surgery), Weill Medical College of Cornell University
Supported by several private foundations and federal government grants, Dr. Mehrara has published over 140 peer reviewed articles, serves on the Editorial Board of Annals of Plastic Surgery, and conducts basic and clinical research, which includes lymphatic tissue engineering. He is a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in surgical reconstruction after cancer surgery and earned his medical degree from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons, completed his residency and a fellowship at New York University Medical Center, as well as a microsurgery fellowship at UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Mehrara has a strong interest and expertise in post- cancer treatment secondary lymphedema.
