Ben’s Kosher Restaurant Delicatessen & Caterers is currently accepting delivery and catering orders for Hanukkah so families can eliminate the stress of cooking a full holiday meal and instead spend more time with each other.
Ben’s Hanukkah Family Dinner for 6 is available for $99.99. Dinner consists of two quarts of chicken noodle soup, six matzo balls, choice of a one-quart side salad, one pound of rye bread, choice of three whole chickens with stuffing or two and a half pounds of brisket and two dozen mini-latkes with applesauce with a choice of flavors: spinach, zucchini, carrot or traditional potato. (Flavors are available December 7 to December 16 or by advance order.) Ben’s also has eight other Catered Family Dinners for six selections priced from $99.99 in their Catering Guide, which is available online.
In addition, those who order three dozen latkes will get one dozen latkes free and, for each additional dozen, will get 25% off. Plain potato, carrot, zucchini and spinach flavors are available and applesauce is included. This offer is available between December 7 and December 16.
For larger parties, Ben’s offers an assortment of catering packages. The Party Platter Plus for 10 is available for $149.90. The Deluxe Holiday S’more-gasbord package for $499.80 feeds 20 people and the Bountiful Holiday Banquet for 40 is $999.60. For more details, visit www.bensdeli.net.
Ben’s catering packages are ideal for customers who wish to uphold the tradition of family gatherings around holiday meals. When eastern European Jewish immigrants came to the United States between the early 1900s and the 1940s, they brought this tradition along.
Today, more families have working parents, neither of whom has the time to prepare such large meals for an extended group of relatives. Catering is also convenient for the growing population of senior citizens; as people age, it becomes more difficult for them to cook and entertain a large group of family members.
As a result, more people are turning to Kosher caterers at Hanukkah, which help families keep the tradition alive and provide an added convenience for those who are unable to prepare these holiday dinners themselves, whether due to hectic work schedules or physical limitations. Ben’s provides an authentic holiday meal that its non-Kosher counterparts cannot adequately offer.
