Canon U.S.A. has just announced that it will be moving its headquarters to a brand new address at One Canon Park in Melville, Suffolk County, New York. The new headquarters will be staffed by almost 1,400 employees who will be moving from their previous location. About half of these employees have already relocated to Melville, while the rest will follow in March. Canon U.S.A.’s headquarters not only serves customers in the U.S., but also in all of North and South America. There are two other Canon headquarters, in England and Japan. Canon is best known for its cameras and camcorders, but also makes computer printers, photocopiers and other electronic devices which are related to imaging. The company is based in Tokyo, Japan, but its U.S.A. branch has long been associated with Long Island.
Speaking about the move, Seymour Liebman, Canon’s executive vice president, chief administrative officer, and general counsel, states, “We are proud to be moving to our brand new, state-of-the-art headquarters at One Canon Park. One Canon Park will be a symbol of not only our dedication to our employees, but also our dedication to the Long Island community we have called home since 1971.”
