“Bridgehampton Honors Ben & Nancy Graboski”
SUNDAY, JUNE 10TH, 5-7PM, THE BRIDGEHAMPTON INN
The Bridgehampton Historical Society is pleased to be recognizing the many community related contributions and endeavors of Bridgehampton residents, Benny & Nancy Graboski at this year’s annual Spring fundraiser, to be held on Sunday, June 10th from 5 to 7pm at the Bridgehampton Inn.
Born and raised on Mitchell Lane, Benny has lived and worked on his family’s potato farm all his life. Nancy came to Southampton in 1966 and has been a local ever since. In addition to being a potato farmer’s wife and raising four children, she was also a teacher in Riverhead, and most recently completed sixteen years of service working for the Town of Southampton.
Plain-T artisanal iced teas and Wolffer Estate Vineyard wines will complement a fine array of epicurean delights from Loaves & Fishes Catering. Set amid the Inn’s lovely garden, embellished by the beautiful floral creations of Michael Grim and Jim Osburn, owners of Bridgehampton Florist, there will also be music provided by the talented East End jazz musician, Peter Martin Weiss. This event combines those with ties to the community with others who appreciate the history and character of greater Bridgehampton, joining them together at what was originally the Gurden Corwith residence. There is no doubt a good time will be had by all.
All profits benefit the work of the historical society. This is the only annual fundraiser held by the society, which depends on contributions from the community in order to continue offering their diverse programs and exhibits. Tickets are $100 and available by contacting the society at 631.537.1088, or bhhs@optonline.net.
