HUNTINGTON, NY (June 4, 2013) — The 48th Annual Huntington Summer Arts Festival will kick off June 27th and is bringing a very distinguished roster of artists to the Chapin Rainbow Stage this year! Among the artists are multiple Grammy winners & nominees such as Diane Schuur, Paula Cole, Trout Fishing in America, Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, Don Bryon’s New Gospel Quintet and Swingle Singers. Other noteworthy performers include Kyle Abraham-In-Motion, winner of 2010 Bessie Award and Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch”; Corey Harris & Band winner of MacArthur Foundation “Genius Award”; and Canadian Folk Music award winner Dala. Tuesday nights' Family Series performances include Parent’s Choice Award winners Hot Peas ‘N Butter and Trout Fishing in America and Emmy Award winning Mallory Lewis’s Lamb Chop. These performers plus many more will deliver high caliber performances all summer long. The Summer Arts Festival is free and held on the Chapin Rainbow Stage in Heckscher Park, Huntington, at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday – Sunday from June 27th – August 11th. Tuesday evenings are the festivals “Family Series” events and begin at 7:30 p.m The Summer Arts Festival is presented by the Town of Huntington and produced by the Huntington Arts Council.
