Smithtown, NY - February 18, 2015 - Arthur F. Dromerhauser, has been appointed Director of the Foundation at St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center—member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island. Dromerhauser brings extensive years of successful philanthropic experience to the medical center.
Prior to joining St. Catherine of Siena, Mr. Dromerhauser was a high school teacher, college baseball coach, a high school and college basketball official, Manager of Administration at Fairchild Republic, Director of Development at Southside Hospital, Director of Development at St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School, and Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Fundraising, Inc., where he assisted many non-for-profit organizations. He is also currently the President of A&D Consulting, a firm specializing in developing, organizing, and implementing comprehensive fund raising programs for not-for-profit organizations. Dromerhauser holds a BBA in Accounting with a minor in Education from Hofstra University.
When asked why philanthropy, Mr. Dromerhauser simply said, “My passion is helping people—I love working on projects I believe in.” When asked why St. Catherine of Siena, he said, “St. Catherine of Siena is a great place, the people are truly happy and love what they do—it resonates in every interaction—and I want to be a vessel to share that very important message to the community and develop the medical center further.”
Born and raised in Bay Shore, Mr. Dromerhauser is active in community and has sat on more than 16 organizational boards. He is a well-known and loved community member, Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame inductee, and active member of the Catholic Church, but of all his many accomplishments, he is most proud of his family. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Delores—together they raised 10 children, and are proud grandparents of 21 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
