Our 5th Annual Gala a magical evening with an Arabian Night theme!

August 15, 2013 at the Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center 

431 East Main Street, Riverhead

This event promises to be one of fun and entertainment with the opportunity to discover the art of Belly Dancing, exceptional food, auctions and baskets, and musical sounds of "Something Fresh" for your dancing pleasure. 

Meet this year's honorees and hear their stories of hope, healing and encouragement.

Donna Kukura - Angel of Hope Award

Donna Genna - Caregiver of the Year Award

Frank Genna - Survivor of the Year Award

Where does your contribution go? 

• Help with the renovation project at "The Brendan House" - a long term care home.
• Provided $20,000 in scholarship/hardship assistance to several clients to cover the cost of treatment
• Doubled number of clients served in 2012 and expected to triple for 2013 and 2014.
• Added much needed state-of-the-art physical and speech therapy equipment.
• Assisted those who have been traumatized with brain injury or cognitive disorder.
• Continued to remove initial disappointment and offer a "New Beginning" for clients to gain back a great quality of life.

Gala proceeds will benefit New Beginnings programs, a one-of-a-kind facility in this area, to expand the number of clients served, purchase additional therapeutic equipment, and install an automatic handicap front door for easy access.
