Can you remember the Antiques Road Show episode when the collection of jade from China that one woman brought turned out to be valued as much as $1.07 million? (Her father brought it home from China during the 1930s and 1940s and cost a couple of hundred dollars.)
On Saturday July 6, from 9 am to 3 pm, the Antiques Center Southampton will hold its own Antiques Road Show-Style Day. An expert will offer free appraisals of your family heirlooms, yard sale bargains, and items salvaged from attics and basements. There also is an Outdoor Antiques Fair on the grounds.
The center is a collective of 32 dealer shops specializing in early 19th c. through 1950’s antiques, vintage, prime decorator designs and collectibles—from furniture to jewelry to designer fashion to funky finds. Each dealer showcases his and her impeccable sense of style in their jewel-box shops, most of which are decorated to resemble a room in a home.
245 County Road 39 (at Henry Road.), Southampton, NY 11968.
