Alzheimer’s Association Long Island Presents 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

What: Alzheimer’s Association Long Island presents the 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer’s/Fall Festival. Participants will take part in a 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) walk throughout the grounds of Old Bethpage Village Restoration. The goal of this event to raise $450,000, with the money going to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, the leading health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.
There will be an opening ceremony followed by a ribbon cutting signifying the start of the Walk. After the Walk, participants will be given “flowers” to plant at the Promise Garden.
When: Saturday, September 8
Registration/Breakfast/Expo: 8:30 a.m.
Opening Ceremony and 9/11 Tribute: 10:00 a.m.
Walk: 11:00 a.m.
Where: Old Bethpage Village Restoration
1303 Round Swamp Road, Old Bethpage, NY
Directions: LIE to Exit 48 (Round Swamp Rd. toward Old Bethpage/Farmingdale). Take Round Swamp Rd. south to Old Bethpage. Go 0.6 mile. Old Bethpage Village Restoration will be on the left-hand side.
