Alzheimer’s Association Long Island Presents “Knock Out Alzheimer’s”
Featuring Music, Silent Auctions and Special Guest Appearances
On August 3, Alzheimer’s Association Long Island will be hosting its “Knock Out Alzheimer’s” fundraising event at the Surf Lodge, located at 183 Edgemere St. in Montauk. Festivities will begin at 7:00 p.m.
The night will feature music, silent auctions, an art exhibit and special guest appearances. Tickets are $50 per person. All proceeds from this event will benefit Alzheimer’s Association Long Island and its mission to provide much-needed care and support to those affected by Alzheimer’s. Assisting with the production of this event is East Hampton resident Kevin Ackley.
There are currently 5.4 million people in the U.S. who are afflicted with Alzheimer’s. Of that number, 60,000 live on Long Island. In the coming years, the Association expects to see a drastic increase in these numbers if a cure is not found. Currently, one in eight people over the age of 65 have Alzheimer’s disease.
Checks should be made payable to Alzheimer’s Association Long Island Chapter and mailed to 45 Park Ave., Bay Shore, NY 11706. To pay by credit card, please call (631) 580-5100, extension 303.
For more information, please contact Mary Ann Malack-Ragona, Executive Director/CEO, at (631) 820-8068 or visit www.alz.org/longisland.
