Stony Brook, NY - The Ward Melville Heritage Organization will be celebrating their 22nd Annual Halloween Festival on Wednesday, October 31 from 3 pm to 5 pm.
The festival is attended by hundreds each year with children and adults alike donning amazing costumes. Festivities include trick or treating in shops and restaurants, live music with Walkie Bear and WALK 97.5, Halloween games, free mini-pumpkins (while supplies last), the famous children’s costume parade with “Monster Merlin,” a spooky dance performance by Spotlight Dance Academy and cash prizes awarded to the winners of the scarecrow contest. This year there are almost 40 entries submitted and the creations adorn the pathways throughout the Center. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month entries were given additional points if their scarecrow was decorated in a majority of pink.
Festival sponsors are Energy Interactive Fitness Center and Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty.
