Live Music & Performance Acts Announced
At East End Arts’ 16th Annual Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival
(RIVERHEAD, NY, May 4, 2012) –– East End Arts is pleased to announce the musical performances to be showcased at the 16th Annual Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival to be held Sunday, May 27, 2012, from 12PM to 5PM in downtown Riverhead, NY. In addition to a traditional opening ceremony to kick-off the daylong arts celebration, a number of musical and performing acts will be featured on the Riverhead Town Show Mobile, including:

Musical performances are just one aspect of this beloved annual fun-for-the-whole-family festival, with many other activities including street painting on Main Street, a fine arts & crafts market of local artists and artisans, storytelling, face painting for children, a drum circle, a Polka dance troupe, hoop dance demonstration, festival food, various arts, crafts, and music activities for the whole family, and more. In addition, Long Island’s Creative Vortex will be presenting “Shifting Realities Across Long Island”, a traveling, collaborative piece of artwork, where festival attendees will be invited to leave their mark and become a part of this unique experience. The 16th Annual Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival is sponsored by Bridgehampton National Bank.

This festival draws over 5,000 local residents and tourists to downtown Riverhead for this Memorial Day Weekend tradition where families and friends, artists, musicians, and lovers of the arts, young and old, enjoy the creative spirit together. All activities take place in downtown Riverhead on East Main Street, between Roanoke Ave and East Street, and on the grounds of East End Arts (133 and 141 East Main Street.) In the case of rain, the event will be held on Monday, May 28, from 2PM to 5PM.
