Exciting Arts Activities Announced
At East End Arts’ 16th Annual Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival
(RIVERHEAD, NY, May 10, 2012) –– East End Arts is pleased to announce the programs and activities to be featured at the 16th Annual Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival to be held Sunday, May 27, 2012, from 12PM to 5PM in downtown Riverhead, NY. This beloved annual fun-for-the-whole-family festival is where families and friends, artists, musicians, and lovers of the arts, young and old, unite to enjoy the creative spirit together. Children, professional artists, and everyone in between will liter East Main Street for the signature activity of the festival – street painting. Joining us again this year is professional street painter Rod Tryon, who has been creating artwork for street painting festivals and art shows worldwide for 25 years. Some of his images have been used for a documentary film and related book entitled "Life Beyond Earth" and for a music video by iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove. Rod Tryon worked on a team of street artists who together recreated the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel at a festival in California and has painted works from Mexico to Hong Kong.
Festival admission is free. Additional activities include:
