Got a quick repair job done here and didn't even have to replace my windshield. I really was relieved when I found that out! I am glad it didn't cost me too much, and it was great they were so fast too and didn't waste my time. I was having a very busy day!

Early last year a truck on a highway kicked a stone up off the road. It made a little crack in my windshield. I ignored it. It didn't start to spread until this winter, when the frost made the glass expand and contract. One morning I woke up and went outside to get into my car, and the little crack had expanded all the way across the windshield.
Well, you can imagine I was really bummed to realize I was going to have to replace the whole windshield, and not just fill in the crack. I think the rule is if it is longer than a few inches, you have to replace the whole thing.
I called about four different repair places before I called Ace, and they gave me the best estimate. I got the whole job done for around $200, which for my car (a Toyota Corolla) is pretty reasonable as far as I know. I've heard windshield replacements can run up to $400, but I think that's only fair with particularly large or curved surfaces. Don't waste money on your windshield replacement. Go to a place like Ace that names you a fair price. Always do your research in advance before you choose a repair mechanic!
