I popped in here randomly one day. I'd never gone to a bakery before, but now i am hooked. I can see why they are so popular in town, especially this one. Their cookies are miles better than the ones you can buy from the grocery store bakery. I think it's because they use better ingredients. There are dozens of little bakeries like this one on Long Island, but I can never decide which is my favourite. I do have to say that A La Cookie lives up to their name and makes very excellent cookies. They aren't too sweet and they have that nice "doughy" flavor that I associate with old style cookies. You can't buy cookies like this at a grocery store, and they'll make you want to never go back to the mass produced stuff. I love the chocolate chip cookies that they make at A La Cookie! I have bought tons of cookies from this bakery. They also do these great gift packages which you can give to friends.
