The name was what made me make the phone call. It was short notice, and "911" was exactly what I was thinking! I explained that it was an emergency and our original DJ had dropped out, and they agreed to help out. Yes, we paid a bit of a premium given the short notice, but they literally saved the day! We couldn't have held the party without a DJ. Thanks to them we didn't have to do massive rescheduling! WHo knows the next time the venue would have been available. I called up 911-DJ because they seemed to imply they could work on short notice by their name, and our DJ for our son's bar mitzvah had just called us two nights before the big event to tell us he had the flu and would not be able to be there. After panicking for an hour, I started going through the phone book. I called 911-DJ after two others who couldn't fit us in, praying that they would be able to work on short notice. We were very pleased and relieved when they said they could handle it. They showed up on time and played a great set. I was surprised they were able to pull together what they needed in time. I never once got the impression they had rushed, and you'd have thought they'd planned a week or two in advance. They were very friendly and they did a wonderful job.
